As a non-profit organization, KETC could not survive without our valuable volunteers. There are many ways to help out, from answering phones during membership drives to helping out at major events. No matter what your interest, we are sure to have something rewarding for you to do. Individuals, groups and organizations are welcome to sign up.

Current Volunteer Projects:

Project/Position: Research Volunteer/Intern–Ongoing Position

  • Explores PBS system for upcoming programs to air during pledge drive
  • Locates program rundown, premium information and feed times
  • Individual who can research other PBS affiliates programming and pledge success
  • Create spreadsheet to compare and contrast other stations against KETC
  • Monitor other stations pledge success
  • Monitor KETC pledge success
  • Works with membership manager and membership team
  • Contact food vendors/restaurants for food donations for KETC
  • Good communication skills, likes to speak/ work with people

Project/Position: Donation Drive Coordinator–Ongoing Position

  • Contact facilities to receive music programs, documentaries, i.e. former Channel 9 thank you gifts
  • Create mail merge- send letters to prospect facilities
  • Create mail packages to send to facilities
  • Works with membership team
  • Must like to work with people

Project/Position: Office Assistant–Ongoing Position

  • Database updating
  • Data entry
  • Mail receiving
  • Letter Folding
  • Assist in daily mailings
  • Works with membership staff

Project/Position: Survey Analysis Assistant–Internship position possible (Fall semester, 2009); Ongoing Projects (6 to 8 hours a week or more)

  • On August 22nd, 28,000 homes will receive a survey from Channel 9
  • Topics include volunteer work, programming comments and digital transition
  • Need assistant to help code, organize and respond to information we receive back
  • Follow-up phone calls with members
  • Must like to work with people and possess good people skills
  • Database work included
  • Marketing assistance- must target specific groups
