John
(Jack) Galmiche III, President and Chief Executive Officer
Jack
Galmiche is KETC’s President and CEO. Jack is a native St.
Louisan and returned to his hometown in November, 2006 from
Portland, Oregon.
KETC is among the most watched public television stations
in the PBS system with one of the most highly rated audiences
for full day viewing. Jack has focused the station’s efforts
around new forms of community engagement and expanded the
reach of the station’s programming and content through four
local channels in the St. Louis market and new capabilities
of digital distribution through the internet. KETC now manages
its community engagement initiative, Facing the Mortgage Crisis,
in over 70 public television and radio markets around the
U.S.
A new 5000 square foot digital media center is currently
under construction at KETC. Known as the Nine Network of Public
Media and funded by a grant from the Dana Brown Foundation,
the facility will produce new forms of digital media and online
content. The Nine Network will also be home to the daily online
news service, the St. Louis Beacon.
Prior to joining KETC, Jack was the Executive Vice President
and COO of Oregon Public Broadcasting where he managed the
operations of a statewide network of public television and
radio stations. Under Jack’s leadership, OPB’s National Television
Production unit posted substantial gains—increasing
national productions for pubic television from 30 hours to
more than 200 hours, including the current PBS series History
Detectives.
Jack has served on several public broadcasting and industry boards and committees. He is a current member of the PBS board of directors, treasurer and chair of the finance committee for the board of American Public Television (APT) and immediate past member and treasurer of the board of the Integrated Media Association (IMA). He is the past board chair of the Northwest Public Affairs Network, a former member of the NAB Data Broadcasting Committee, and a contributing member of several DTV standards organizations, including the ATSC Committee on Interactive Services. He also served as a director of the International Electronic Cinema Festival.

Dick
Skalski, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and
Chief Operating Officer
Dick
Skalski is senior vice president, chief financial officer
and chief operating officer of KETC. As CFO, he is responsible
for KETC's fiscal and administrative affairs, including preparation
of annual operating budgets, financial statements and forecasts,
and human resource management. As COO, he manages the day-to-day
operations of the station. Prior to joining KETC, Skalski
spent 20 years with PerkinElmer Optoelectronics in various
management positions, most recently as controller and part
of senior management. He is a licensed CPA and a member of
the Missouri Society of CPAs (MSCPA). He has a M.B.A. in finance
from Suffolk University in Boston and a bachelor's degree
in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

| Patricia
Kistler, Vice President of Programming
As
vice president of programming at KETC, Patricia Kistler has
more than 20 years of television industry experience. She
is responsible for creating and distributing KETC's broadcast
schedule, overseeing programming for suitability and compliance
with FCC regulations, and planning membership drives. Since
joining KETC, Kistler has held several positions including
traffic manager, program operations manager and program director,
and has received the Golden Grid Award for innovation and
achievement in programming. She is a member of the Public
Television Programmers' Association (PTPA) and the National
Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Kistler graduated
with a bachelor's degree in communications from St. Louis
University.

John
Lindsay, Vice President of National/International Productions
An experienced production executive, John Lindsay’s produced or co-produced nearly 300 hours of national primetime public television programming. He has executive produced an additional 22 international co-production projects with partners from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan. Lindsay and his colleagues share 62 of the television industry’s most prestigious broadcasting awards including seven national Emmys, three Japan Prize awards, three George Foster Peabody awards and two Columbia-DuPont awards.
Lindsay came to KETC in 2007 from Towers Productions in
Chicago, where he was vice president of international productions.
He is the executive producer of the PBS documentary The
22nd Century, a science pilot broadcast in January 2007.
He has also served as executive vice president of Carlton
Productions LLC in Princeton, New Jersey, and spent 14 years
at Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB), where he served as senior
vice president/director, national/international productions. |

Chrys Marlow,
Vice President of Engineering and Operations
In
serving as vice president of engineering and operations for
KETC, Chrys Marlow oversees all technology at the station,
including the engineering, production, operations, traffic
and IT departments. Since joining KETC in 1985, Marlow has
held a number of positions, including maintenance engineer
and senior editor. His background includes over 29 years in
television, beginning in high school when he was employed
by KDNL-TV in St. Louis. Marlow attended Jefferson College
and graduated with an associate's degree in electronic technology.

Patrick Murphy,
Vice President of Production
In
serving as vice president of production for KETC, Patrick
Murphy is responsible for the development, content and presentation
of programs produced by the station. Murphy produced and directed
the Telly Award-winning documentary American Tower, which
profiles the history of the Continental Life building. He
is the executive producer and co-creator of the multi-award-winning
KETC series Living St. Louis.
Murphy is an adjunct faculty member at Webster University.
He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with
a bachelor of arts degree and did post-graduate work at the
University of Missouri-St. Louis. |

Amy
Shaw, Vice President Education and Community Engagement
A
public media leader, Amy Shaw is leading KETC in deepening
its role as a more significant local organization, important
to and deeply involved in the St. Louis community. Since coming
to KETC in 2003, Shaw has led the station in ground-breaking
projects focusing on early literacy, teacher training, foster
care, quality healthcare, the impact of race and economics
on the community and the state of education in the St. Louis
region. In 2007, Shaw led the station in the unprecedented
Your Stories: St. Louis Remembers World War II engagement
project which personifies how KETC can create safe and trusted
spaces for the community’s untold stories. Shaw is leading
a collaborative community engagement initiative focused on
the impact of the mortgage crisis on the St. Louis region
and markets across the country. Shaw serves on numerous local
and national boards and is deeply committed to the power of
public broadcasting and the health of the St. Louis region.
Shaw came to KETC-TV from WSIU-TV in Carbondale, IL after
directing the station’s education efforts for five years.
Shaw was the co-founder of the ChalkWaves consortium, an educational
media partnership of public television stations. Shaw holds
a bachelor's degree in Marketing and Public Relations from
Bradley University, Peoria, IL; and a master's degree in Telecommunications
from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

Michael
Hardgrove, President Emeritus
Michael
Hardgrove is president emeritus of KETC, having recently retired
from his position of president and CEO. Hardgrove joined KETC
in 1978 as president and general manager. He currently serves
as the chairman of the National Membership and Expansion Committee
of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS),
and as treasurer and founding president of the Public Telecommunications
Association of Missouri. His numerous awards for television
broadcasting include five Emmy Awards from the Washington,
D.C., chapter of NATAS and two Governor's Awards from the
St. Louis chapter.
Prior to joining KETC, Hardgrove worked at televisions WTOP
(CBS affiliate) and WETA (PBS) in Washington, D.C., and KVIE
(PBS) in Sacramento, California. A graduate of the University
of Arizona, Tucson, with a bachelor's degree in speech, he
served two years in the U.S. Army as a lieutenant in the Ordnance
Corps.
